Blue Mountains Palliative Support Service
A volunteer service providing
care and support for people living with a life limiting illness and for
their carers, families and friends.
Blue Mountains Palliative
Support Service (BMPSS) can provide volunteers to assist
you and your family.
Who are the Volunteers?
Our volunteers are special people who are carefully selected and trained.
They are interested in providing palliative support and are very important members of palliative care services.
Our Volunteers undergo
extensive
training in this specialist field. Their personal qualities include
knowledge and understanding
of palliative care issues, sensitivity and empathy, and their
willingness to be there for people living with a life-limiting illness,
their family and friends.
Volunteers continue this commitment by also offering support in bereavement.
